The girls prepared photographic exhibits of their home communi ties, then sent these abroad to acquaint youth in foreign lands with typical American life. This year's project will have its kick- off early in November. Founded in 1910, the organlza- tion is pledged to serve all girls regardless of race, creed or eco nomic background. Its character building, leisure-time program is based on a love of the home and the out-of-doors. Camp Fire Girls offers a chal lenging experience also to the ad ults who volunteer as group lead ers and sponsors and for com mittee work. Many more adults are needed to bring the program to the many girls who want and need it. Redvert Udy, 42, San Pablo, was held for investi gation of burglary, his cnnarcn minted him as saying: "If you want to eat, you gotta steal." , The children, Janice, lb, i-aroi, 12, and George, 10, were in the Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall.
