ThU ox-amateur weight lifter who had spent five years ns a professional box er on the west coast circuit, de rided that an athletic club would pive the hoys and men f the area a much needed chance to build up their bodies and provide an interest which would keep them busy. Members of IOOF Lodge No. 163 at Lexington donated the use of their building which provides ample room for the various ac-, tivitles. Heat and light expenses are met through a charge oi 25 cents per week for each par ticipant and instruction is given Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. The athletic club started in a small way about one year ago and can claim much credit for the ability shown by star football player Jim Stcagall on the Hennncr 11 this fall and Palmer on the lone state cham pion 8-man team, both of whom j have been attending the classes.
