The door prize was won by Beverly Wright Mrs. McCabe Hosts lone Extension Unit The lone Extension unit met at the home of Kuth McCabe, January 5. "Let's Broil Meat" was the pro ject for the meeting with Lola Ann Pettyjohn demonstrating the procedures. After the meal was completed It was served to the following members: Judy Rea, Mary Holtz. Annie Keene, Grace McKlnney, Ruth McCabe, Margo Sherer, Lorene Griffith, Donna Bergstrom, Barbara Peterson, Marie Steagall. and Mrs. Emma June Crowell, Wilda Crawford, Breshears of Lexington. A very Interesting talk was given on traffic safety by Judy Rea. Wllda Crawford won the door prize. Surprise Birthday Dinner Given A surprise birthday was given for Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Garrison at their home last week. Merry Cookerettes The Merry Cookerettes had their gift wrapping party at the home of Marilyn Morgan on Wednesday, December 21. We boxed and wrapped 20 packages of Christmas candy and cookies to send to the eld erly people of the Heppner Pio neer Memorial hospital. We then exchanged our gifts. Refreshments were served by Marilyn Morgan. On Dec. 29 the Merry Cook erettes met at the home of Cher yle Corley at 1:30 p.m. rviervti Corlev demonstrated .'how to prepare frozen foods.
