There are returning students from last school year, did refreshers o f all they learned and are moving on to a b it more this school year, the newer students are lerning all the basics fo r now and continue to excell in the language. Our Elders, Wilfred & Geraldine Jim will be teach ing cultural c ra ft / sewing classes fo r the parents o f our students. Because our students are called on by a number o f departm ents or organiza tions to perform what they learned. During performances, our students dress traditional, w ith Wing Dress, Ribbon shirt, Moccasins. Its such a blessing to have our valued elders take tim e to help and contrib ute to our students and parents. We had one class so far fo r the parents o f our student, we have 5 more weeks, and afte r the six weeks is completed we will have another 6 weeks , series fo r the parents. We want to commend Stanley and Lianna, fo r your com m itm ent to par ticipating w ith your child. Stanley III was a student last school year, and you both contributed personal tim e in activities we had fo r your child. Also, Minnie all the contri butions you have done on behalf o f Aaron, our AIS and teachers appretiate everything you have done fo r your child, and your participaton at our activi ties we thank you fo r tha t. We have tw o class rooms but the students all eat together, they sing the “Table Song” all on there own. If your interested in taking part in this years “ Camp Naimuma” we have a Planning Meeting sched uled fo r Friday, February 15, 2013 beginning at 1:30 p.m. to be held in the Basement o f the Culture & Heritage Language Depart ment.
