Job training fo r welfare recip ients can’ be either on-the-job train ing or formal schooling. On-the-job training plans can be established in public agencies. Welfare recipients can gain experience by. w orking in the public agency fo r as many hours each month as it w ould take them to earn their public welfare grant at prevailing wage scales. Plans fo r f o r m a l schooling are worked out on an individual basis according to the needs and apti tudes of the recipient. Plans for training are approved after consid eration o f the merits o f fhe plan by the County Welfare Department.
