Chief Judge Calvin Gantenbein went over administrative business with the court judges, and Norm Counts, Siletz Tribal police chief, presented an update on law enforcement. Diane Henkels, TCCD project coordinator, presented a draft of each of the following: Traffic Code and possible procedures, Criminal Code and potential problems, and the Family Welfare Code, followed by a round- table discussion of the drafts. Linda Gast of Legal Aid Services of Oregon was scheduled to present ideas on spokespeople in tribal court, priority cases, and building resources. She encountered a personal injury, however, and was unable to be present.
