He succumbed in 1932. Following his death, his daugh ter, Mrs. Thomas, became owner of the Journal and leased it to Mr. and Mrs. W. F. McLing, who now reside in Albany, Ore. Berwyn Burke took over the lease in 1935 and in August, 1937, the Thomas couple became active owners until the publication sold in 1941 to Klass Powell, now of Ontario. D. E.
