Miss Shirley Wikstrom was visiting her sister, Margie, in Clatskanie recently. Mrs. Charles Hansen visited Mrs. Seluis Kynar in Clatskanie Thursday evening. Th? new owners took over the store the first of last week. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cehechman k called on the Chas. Hansens Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. R. Schroeder and Peter of Marshland were also visitors. Illnesses Strike Several in Community TREHARNE — Mrs Charles Thomas, Sr., of Vernonia has been very ill for sometime and had another spell Monday. She is the mother of Charles, Red and Thomas. Jr. Mrs. Sine Collins, mother oi Mary Drips, had a bad sick speii Monday morning. She is better and is up but has to take it easy. Mr and Mrs. G. C. Kirkbride were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Kirkbride and family. The Reynolds families received word last week that Chester Rey nolds of Portland had a minor op eration Friday, January 30, end was taken home Monday, Febru ary 2. Loretta Mills of Birkenfeld was a week end guest of Rosalie Kirk bride. BIRKENFELD — The Sewing club met with Wilma Jensen last Tuesday. There were six mem bers present. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thomp son and Gary spent Monday and Tuesday with Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Jepson and family. Boby Eastman left recently for his home in Klamath Falls, after a few weeks visit with his grand parents. The A. Dowlings are building over their bathroom this week. The average person chews one slice of gum a w?ek. Í RIVERVIEW — Mrs. Robert Franklin of Raymond, Washing ton drove down Thursday and took Mrs. Charles Allen and son. Lee, there to the bedside of their father, who is seriously ill. He improved slightly and Mrs. Franklin brought them back on Monday. Visitors at the W. J. Lindsley home Thursday were Mrs. James Walters of Cedar Mills, Mrs. Ray Dorland and grandson of Hills boro and Mrs. J. A. Sanford of North Plains.
