MOE LEE SCHWAB PUBLISHER ........ EDITOR GEORGE A. NELSON Several weeks ago in speaking to a farmer in another county, the editor was told that Columbia county was. en joying the services of one of the most efficient agricul tural agents in Oregon. It has been taken for granted that George A. Nelson was a good county agent, but it is doubtful is we appre ciate the efficient manner in which he conducts his de partment. Columbia county receives favorable publicity for its progressive efforts in the agricultural field and the show- ings made at our county and state fairs are becoming better each _ year. The credit of this in a large measure belongs to George Nelson. None in the county can ask for better service from a county agent than that performed by County Agent Nel son, and the Eagle congratulates the citizens of Columbia county on their wisdom in continuing to retain him.
