Garnish with well drained pineapple slices with edges lightly rolled in paprika. Makes 8 to 10 servings. Add syrup drained from pine apple and cranberry juice cock tail. Heat, stirring, until gelatin is completely dissolved. Re move from heat. Stir in lemon juice. Cool. Add carbonated beverage and red food coloring to give desired shade. Chill un til consistency of unbeaten egg white. Fold in drained pineap ple, grapes, pear and celery. Turn into 5 or 6 cup mold. Chill firm. Unmold. Garnish as desired with frosted grapes. Makes 6 to 8 servings. SPICY FRUIT SAUCE For a spicy winter meat sauce, heat canned fruit cock tail in its syrup with a diced apple, a dash each of ground cinnamon and ground cloves and equal amounts brown su gar and vinegar to taste. Thicken with cornstarch blend ed with a little cold water. Re move from heat: stir in a pat of butter or margarine. Serve hot. HONEY-DATE TOPPING Pit and coarsely chop fresh California dates.
