Heroic Truck Driver Wins Praise For Saving Child PORTLAND, April 17 Rescue of tiny girl from drowning In the black of night brought recognition to a heroic Oregon truck driver In Portland Friday night. Named Driver of the Month and awarded a gold, engraved wrlttwatch, Eldon Ollllam, 30, of Scappooae, taved the life of a child thrown from a ca reening vehicle Into the water of a drainage ditch near Ooehen on the night of March 29.
