Ev erette Dennis, junior, from Toledo, is the new editor of the campus publication. Flu Fir - Medford fire men were called to put out a flue fire at 608 East Main at Friday night. Heat from an incinerator flue burned a small area around the flue. Firemen recommended no fires be built until the flue is altered. . Trash Fir - Medford fire men put out an unattended trash fire at 21 Myrtle st. Friday. All such fires should be attended they warned. Tools Taken - Two power saws, two long measuring tapes and a pair of boots were reported missing from the contractor's office at the new sewage treatment plant at Grants Pass Friday. DRURY ' Mrs. Mildred H. Drury, of 1009 South Oakdele ave., died Friday in a local hospital. Pri vate .services will be read by Christian Scientist at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Conger-Morris downtown chapel. Committal will be private. Survivors include her hus band, Allen B. Drury: three daughters, Mrs. Laura Porter and Mrs. Barbara D. Under wood, both of Medford; and Mrs. Mildred D. Hinman, Grants Pass: and seven grand children. CLYDE H. WEAVER ' Clyde H. Weaver, of Yreka, Calif., died Friday in a local hospital. The body was re turned to Yreka for services and interment by Conger Morris Funeral directors. WILLIAM H. YOUNS Funeral services for Wil liam Henry Young, 44, of route 4, box 430-G, (Mud Springs rd.) who died Tues day, will be held at 1:30 pjn. Monday in HUlcrest Memorial Chapel on the North Phoenix rd. The Rev. Everett Cade of the Phoenix Church of Christ will officiate. Committal will be in HUlcrest Memorial park, with Conger-Morris Funeral directors in charge of arrange ments. Mr. Young was born July 13. 1918. in Wyanet, 111., and had lived for several years in southern Oregon. He was veteran of 22 years service in the United States Army, first enlisting in 1936. serving in the Afri can campaign in World War II, and the European Theater of Operations. He also served in the Korean Conflict, retir ing from the Army in 1988. Survivors include two sons, Michael W. Young, and Stev en E. Young; three daughters, Rhonda Lea Young, Barbara Jean Young, and Patricia Ar- lene Young; and a sister, Mas. Ray Brownrigg, all of Med' ford. ANNIE A. HAUGHTON Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Adelaide Haughton, of 278 Idaho St., Ashland, who died Saturday, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Conger Morris downtown chapel. The Rev. Clifford Young of the Eastwood Baptist church will officiate. Committal will be in HUlcrest Memorial park. Mrs. Haughton waa born Nov. 28, 1882, and had lived for a number of years In southern Oregon. APPLIN Mrs. Dorothy Edna Applin, 80, of. 9 Corning court, Med ford, died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 25, 1882, In Illinois, the daughter of the late Jacob R. and Martha Patterson. On Dec. 24, 1911, in Port land, Ore., she was married to Col. Frank D. Applin, who survives. She had been a res ident of this community since 1947. Interment will fol low in Siskiyou Memorial park. Mr. oonanue was oorn April 22, 1898, in Philadel phia, the son of the late John P. and Mary Donahue. Survivors include three sis ters, Mrs. Charles Buckley, Mrs. Jane Summers, and Edna Donahue, of Philadelphia, and a nephew. He was a veteran of World War II serving aa a carpenter's mat in th United States Navy. He entered serv ice at Seattle, Wash. Nov. 3, 1942, and was discharged in Los Angeles, Calif., Aug. 3, 1945. Prior to his admittance to the VA Domiciliary, White City, in July, 1961, ha was employed as a maintenance worker. He is survived by one brother. Rex Bridgeman, Sac ramento, Calif. FRED STANLEY . Funeral services for Fred Stanley, 86, of Eagle Point, who died Saturday, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Perl Funeral home. Interment will be in Central Point IOOF cemetery. Mr. Stanley was born Oct 28,' 1876, in Sheldy county, Iowa. He moved to Eagle Point with his parents 75 years ago. He had been a rancher and stockman in the Eagle Point area nearly all of his life. He was member of the Lak Creek Grange and an honorary member of the Big Butte Stockman's association. Survivors include two brothers, J, H. Stanley, Eagle Point, Ralph Stanley, Mon tana; several nieces and neph ews. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him In death.
