Hooper, in a ceremony held July ,23 at First Presbyterian church. Dr. D. Kirkland West offi ciated at the four o'clock af ternoon rites attended by 100 relatives and friends. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester A. Olson, Bonners Ferry, who traveled here for the wedding. Mr. Hooper is a son of Mrs. John Esp, 889 Olympic avenue, and V. Ray Hooper, Medford. Pink and white gladioli decorated the church .for the double ring wedding and pink bows marked the pew ends. The Rev. G. Robert Jacks sang two selections from the balcony and was accompanied by Mrs. Richard Sheldon. The bride wore a white peau de soie gown with Chan tilly lace bodice and inverted pleats at the waist flared into a full skirt with chapel train. Lace applique and seed pearls accented the skirt. Mr. Olson gave his daughter in marriage. Miss Ann Martin, Ashland, Oregon Technical Institute school friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Darlene Harbison, Spokane, Wash., cousin of the bride, and Miss Lauralee Ol son, Spokane, niece of the bride. They wore pink or ganza frocks with cummer bunds and white lace over pink bodices. Miss Martin carried shocking pink glad ioli and the bridesmaids' bouquets were of pink glad ioli. Roger Hooper served as best man for his brother. Seating the guests were Jack L. Esp, another brother, and Ronald Nelson, Eagle Point. Junior ushers and candlelighters were Gregory Esp, 'brother of the bridegroom, and Grant Mayf ield, nephew of the bridegroom. Following the ceremony a reception was held in the gar den at the Esp home. Mrs. R. S.. Mayfield, aunt of the bridegroom, and Mrs. J. H. Burt, Bell, Calif., a great aunt of the bridegroom, cut and served the wedding cake. Pouring punch were Mrs. Jack Caldwell, Mrs. Morris Boughner, Mrs. Ray Tresham and Mrs. E. G. Randolph. Serving coffee were Mrs. John White, grandmother of the bridegroom, and Mrs. R. A. Baber, Los Angeles, great grandmother of the bride groom. Assisting at the bride's ta ble was Mrs. R. B. Montgom ery and Mrs. Lawerence Ol son, Spokane, sister-in-law of the bride, was in charge of the guest book. Miss Marsha May- field, niece of the bridegroom, was at the gift table. Jerry Miller played the or gan during the reception. The couple traveled to Lake Tahoe and Reno on their wed ding trip, the bride wearing for traveling a suit in jewel tone print with navy acces sories. They are making their home at 924 Grant avenue. The bride attended Bonners Ferry schools and Oregon Technical institute. She is a medical technician for Dr. Howard Ferguson, Shady Cove. Mr. Hooper attended Eagle Point High school and OTI and is a draftsman for Medford Steel corporation. Among the out of town guests who attended the wed ding were Mr. Olson and family, Lauralee and Kent, Spokane, and Mr. Burt, Bell, Calif. 1 Mrs. Floyd Fogelquiit Couple Married In Navy Chapel A wedding of interest here was held Friday, July 22, at the South Chapel, U.S. Naval Training Center, San Diego, Calif., when Maryellen Ead- ler, Elgin, 111., and San Diego, became the bride of Lloyd Fogelquist. The bridegroom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fogelquist, 1312 Anne avenue, Medford. Chaplain. Earnest Lemieux officiated at the four o'clock afternoon rites. Attending the couple were I Tr and Mrs. Harrv LoDez San Diego. The bride is a professional organist under the auspice of Artists Corporation of, Amer ica. Mr. Fogelquist, a gradu. ate of Medford High school, is a sonarman seaman with the U.S. Navy and Is stationed at San Diego. He attended the Navy sonar school, San Diego. Carter arrived Friday night from Severna Park, Md., to join Mrs. Carter and their three children, Julia Lee, Christopher and Margaret. The family has been in Med ford for the past month as guests of Mrs. Carter s par ents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Love joy, Old Military road. Mrs. Carter, the former Jer- rilee Lovejoy, has been hon ored at a number of parties during her stay. Mrs. R. A. Skinner and Mrs. Raymond Fish were hostesses for st luncheon given at the Skin ner home, Hillside drive. Mrs. Berthold Barnum gave a luncheon at her home on the South Pacific highway, and Mrs. Charles Stafford was hostess for a luncheon, enter taining guests at Rogue Val ley Country club. Mrs. William B. Clegg and Mrs. William M. Caldwell were hostesses for a party which honored Mrs. Carter, entertaining at . the Clegg home, 2235 Oakwood drive. The Carters are at Diamond lake for the week end, and plan to leave Tuesday morn ing for C a r m e 1, Calif., to spend some time with Mr. Carter's mother before re turning to Maryland. Ross-Burchette Rites Announced Gold Hill - Of interest to valley residents is news of the recent marriage of Alber ta Burchette to Patrick Ross. The wedding took place Sun day, July 17, in Reno, Nev. The newlyweds are living at Idaho Falls, Ida., where Mr. Ross is on duty with the United States Navy. Mrs. Ross is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Alsentz, Gold Hill. Mr. Ross' mother, Mrs. Amy Ross, Gold Hill, accom panied the couple to Reno, joining the couple at Idaho Falls.
