Miss Jeannine Olson, Bon
ners Ferry, Idaho, became the
bride of Norman L. Hooper,
in a ceremony held July ,23
at First Presbyterian church.
Dr. D. Kirkland West offi
ciated at the four o'clock af
ternoon rites attended by 100
relatives and friends.
The bride is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lester A. Olson,
Bonners Ferry, who traveled
here for the wedding. Mr.
Hooper is a son of Mrs. John
Esp, 889 Olympic avenue,
and V. Ray Hooper, Medford.
Pink and white gladioli
decorated the church .for the
double ring wedding and pink
bows marked the pew ends.
The Rev. G. Robert Jacks
sang two selections from the
balcony and was accompanied
by Mrs. Richard Sheldon.
The bride wore a white
peau de soie gown with Chan
tilly lace bodice and inverted
pleats at the waist flared into
a full skirt with chapel train.
Lace applique and seed pearls
accented the skirt. She car
ried a cascade bouquet of

of the bridegroom, and Grant
Mayf ield, nephew of the
bridegroom.

Following the ceremony a
reception was held in the gar
den at the Esp home. Mrs.
R. S.. Mayfield, aunt of the
bridegroom, and Mrs. J. H.
Burt, Bell, Calif., a great
aunt of the bridegroom, cut
and served the wedding cake.
Pouring punch were Mrs.
Jack Caldwell, Mrs. Morris
Boughner, Mrs. Ray Tresham
and Mrs. E. G. Randolph.
Serving coffee were Mrs.
John White, grandmother of
the bridegroom, and Mrs. R.
A. Baber, Los Angeles, great
grandmother of the bride
groom. Assisting at the bride's ta
ble was Mrs. R. B. Montgom
ery and Mrs. Lawerence Ol
son, Spokane, sister-in-law of
the bride, was in charge of the
guest book. Miss Marsha May-
field, niece of the bridegroom,
was at the gift table.

gan during the reception.
The couple traveled to Lake
Tahoe and Reno on their wed
ding trip, the bride wearing
for traveling a suit in jewel
tone print with navy acces
sories. They are making their
home at 924 Grant avenue.
The bride attended Bonners
Ferry schools and Oregon
Technical institute. She is a
medical technician for Dr.
Howard Ferguson, Shady
Cove. Mr. Hooper attended
Eagle Point High school and
OTI and is a draftsman for
Medford Steel corporation.

ding were Mr. Olson and
family, Lauralee and Kent,
Spokane, and Mr. Burt, Bell,
Calif.

In Navy Chapel
A wedding of interest here
was held Friday, July 22, at
the South Chapel, U.S. Naval
Training Center, San Diego,
Calif., when Maryellen Ead-
ler, Elgin, 111., and San Diego,
became the bride of Lloyd
Fogelquist. The bridegroom is
a son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd
Fogelquist, 1312 Anne avenue,
Medford.
Chaplain. Earnest Lemieux
officiated at the four o'clock
afternoon rites.
Attending the couple were

The bride is a professional

a sonarman seaman with the

The couple is at home in
National City, Calif.

night from Severna Park, Md.,
to join Mrs. Carter and their
three children, Julia Lee,
Christopher and Margaret.
The family has been in Med
ford for the past month as
guests of Mrs. Carter s par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Love
joy, Old Military road.

lake for the week end, and
plan to leave Tuesday morn

Rites Announced

the recent marriage of Alber
ta Burchette to Patrick Ross.
The wedding took place Sun
day, July 17, in Reno, Nev.
The newlyweds are living at
Idaho Falls, Ida., where Mr.
Ross is on duty with the
United States Navy.
Mrs. Ross is a daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Jay Alsentz,
Gold Hill.
Mr. Ross' mother, Mrs.
