Group Leaves For Trip East Mrs. Seth Waters, 1126 West Ninth street, left from Klamath Fulls last week on a motor trip throughout the United States. The group Is en route to Now York City via Yellow stone park and the Black Hills in South Dakota. Mary Lee Governor Republican State Board To Be Here A state board meeting of the Oregon Federation of Re publican Women will be held in Medford Monday, June 20, for the first time in conjunc tion with a monthly luncheon meeting of the local group, ac cording to Mrs. Frank Bash, president of the Jackson County unit of the Federation. Present will be Mrs. Har old S. Strawn, president, and representatives from through out the state who serve as chairman. The luncheon meeting will be held at 12 noon at the Red Cross building, 60 Hawthorne avenue. Plans were discussed for the event at a recent meeting of the local executive board at the home of Mrs. Scott Davis, third vice-president. Names of other guests here for the meeting will be an nounced later, Mrs. Bash said. Mrs. E. A. Littrell reported on the tea held last month at the home of Mrs. Stephen G. Nye, state representative. More than 150 women of the valley attended the event. Eagle Point Woman Home After Trip Eagle Point Mrs. Loyd Adamson has returned to her home on East Linn road after a trip north during which she visited friends and relatives in Kelso and LonTview, Wash., and in Springfield, Ore. Mi Miss Verity Day Engagement Announced Gold Hill -Mr. and Mrs. Earl Benjamin Day Jr. an nounce the engagement of their daughter, Verity Louise, to Edward John Dierauf Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Dierauf, Tenafly, N.J. Miss Day, a graduate of Crater High school, attended Marylhurst college and the University of California at Berkeley, where she majored in art and received a bachelor of arts degree. She taught art at Amador Valley High school, Pleasanton, Calif., and is currently attending sum mer school at the University. Mr. Dierauf received a de gree in mechanical engineer ing from Stevens Institute of Technology, N.J., and is com pleting requirements for a master of science degree in industrial engineering and a general secondary teachers credential at the University of California. The past year he taught in the science department at Berkeley High school. A midsummer wedding is planned at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Medford, after which the couple will return to Berkeley. Inspection Set For Local Group Mrs. Clara B. Gertson, Hep pner, national committeewom and and state director, will conduct the annual inspection of the Degree of Honor Pro tective association Monday night. The meeting will be gin at 7:45 p.m. at Girls Com munity club. Mrs. Serena McMahan and Mrs. Clyde Hillyer will be hostesses. Miss Adabee Seller and Mrs. James Stewart are In charge of entertainment. Mrs. Gertson will be a guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Anhorn, Central Point, while in the valley.
