The four drowned in two sep arate tragedies. Skin divers from Idaho and Oregon began a search at dawn for the bodies of Martin Maillion, 7, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maillion, and Charles Thomas, 6, son of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Thomas, who drowned while swim ming in the waters of the muddy Snake on the Idaho Oregon border. Skin divers Wednesday night recovered the bodies of Boise contractor Earl Allen, Awl & RESIGNING effective Sept 1, Arthur Larson, special White House assistant, says he will continue as special consultant to President 44, and his business associate Gerald Zimmerman, 35, also Boise. They were swept to their deaths late Wednesday near Nyssa, Ore., when their small boat capsized. Two oth er Boise men accompanying the victims were rescued from the river. They were Mike Cahoun and Tom Doyle. Seo Youths Disappear Barry Belisle, a 10-year-old Ontario youth, said that while swimming near Dobbs island about a mile north of Ontario's city limits he saw the Maillion and Thomas youths disappear under the water. Oregon state police re ported that the youngsters apparently stepped off a 30 foot underwater shelf and were swept to their deaths in the undertow. . After the bodies of Allen and Zimmerman were recov ered, skin divers turned to the search for the bodies of the two youngsters. However, the search was called off at 10:30 Wednesday night be cause the divers were having trouble seeing despite the fact that the area was lighted by emergency power. Allen and Zimmerman lost their lives when their boat capsized and they were pulled under the water by undercur rents. Doyle also was pulled under but was saved by a Caldwell boater, Robert Bee ment. He dove from his boat and pulled Doyle to safety. He said he could not locate the other two men under the water. Wilson, a Medford dentist, has been active in YMCA af fairs for the past year. He was cochairman of the "Y" fireworks show and is chair man pf the boys club work committee. An active member of the Crater Lions club, he has served them as chairman of the sports fair and is the cur rent president of the club. Other positions he presently holds are chairman of the United Medfqrd Crusade pro fessional division, and secre tary of the dental society. A graduate of Oregon State college and University of Ore gon, Wilson is married and has three children. He has re sided in the Rogue valley for three years.
