They are staying at the Ever Shady auto camp. Mr. Davis Is a twin brother of D. D. Davis, well known local man. Medford Visitors R. B. Traut wein and J. E. Reimers, real estate men from Pomona, Cal., are spending several days In Medford on business. Mr. Traut wein. until a year ago, was own er of the Pomona Valley Weekly Tribune for 14 years. Klmes Away Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kime left last evening for San Francisco to spend two weeks attending the Golden Gate International exposition on Treasure island. They were to visit Mr. and Mrs. Norval Stlne, Sr., In Oakland, Cal. Mrs. Kime and Mrs. Stlne are sisters. Flue Fire The fire depart ment's chemical crew was called at 4:35 p. m. yesterday to ex tinguish a flue blaze In the home of Mrs. Mary K. Weston, 52 North Peach street. The fire was controlled without dam age. Attend Game Among Med fnrdites traveling to Klamath Falls Friday evening to attend the Klamath Falls-Medford high school football game were Dr. James C. S. army October 18, for service with the air corps with station at Hamilton field, San Rafael, Cal., It was announced in a press release received yes terday from Col. G. T. Perkins, recruiting officer at San Fran cisco. Ehrheart was accepted tentatively for enlistment by Staff Sgt. Willis S. Estep, in charge of the recruiting office In Medford city hall, and was for mally sworn Into service at Fort McDowell, Cal. Ends Oct. 31st JOIN SEWING BEE Another call was issued yes terday for valley women to give their time to sewing and cutting of garments for war refugees. The meetings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Red Cross of fice rooms in the Jackson coun ty courthouse. The sewing bees are being held in conjunction with the re cently organized war relief pro duction committee of Jackson County and it was pointed out yesterday by committee chair men that it is every woman's obligation in the county to give a portion of her time for such a worthy cause. Chairmen also explained that women who wish to attend the sewing sessions need not neces sarily be expert sewers because there are numerous small jobs in stitching and cutting to be done.
