Medford high school students enjoyed a three days' vacation last week. Mrs. Ralph Wilson spent several days last, week as guest of Mrs. Geo. Wright at Eagle Point. George Mero and family have moved Into the Harry Nealon house. Mrs. Jessie Case was remembered by her friends with a card shower honoring her birthday, January 35. Mr. and Mrs. Sherrlll Weeden and daughter, Shirley are now living in the cottage recently vacated by the Tom Wright family at Red Skin or chard. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hamlin enter tained with a dinner honoring the birthday of Mr. Hamlin's elflter frnm Medford last Thursday. Mrs. Olen Hoist of Sams Valley visited her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rogrs Inst week. Mr. and Mrs. John McBrlde, Mr. and Mrs. R, E. Nealon were among those attending the Olee men's con cert at Medford. Although we hear many said they couldn't remember such a mild Janu ary before In this valley It was very much like the January of 1927 when many flowera bloomed In local Har dens and Bill Cottrell brought a bou quet of pink rosea down to the Nealon ranch from hla place near Trail. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Houston of Tral and Mr. and Mrs. J. Ban ford Rich ardson of Beall Lane visited relatives here Sunday afternoon. Claude Wilson Is now In Martlne. Calif., where he is employed by Elmer Hull, who Is operating a fruit ranch there. Complaint has been heard lately re garding the transporting of high school student from this district. It appears that the taxpayers of this dis trict are paying several hundred dol lars Into the transporting fund while out of the dozen student attending high school only two are being trans ported at public expense, the other ten paying their own wsy. If this transporting levy Is going to be a per- fmsnent thing it Is ssld the parents, students and school board should get together snd make some arrange ment before another year by which at least a majority of high school stu dents could receive benefit from It.
