Burgher and his men entered Into a skull conference Monday night to see if they could Iron out the rough pots In last Saturday's game. After the skull practice Burgher held a short dummy practice. Last Satur days defeat demonstrates an old adage In football. No team In the first "days of practice can meet a heavier, more experienced team and win. Contrary to past season cus tom Crescent City this year waa no set-up. With a a 10-pound fullback and a 185-pound line, It was too much for the local Inexperienced players to handle. Medford has been outweighed many tlmea . in the past and still won through superior generalship and knowledge of fundamentals. 8heer lack of time for adequate practice prevented these factors from saving the day Saturday. Keith Bates, guard, waa pronounc ed well by the doctor. He has missed considerable practice but he Is a hard working boy. He will probably see action against Marshfield next Saturday.
