Marketing Crop Otto Bohnert of Central Point has commenced mar keting his famous brand of "Table Rock" canteloupes with the Medford merchants. Mr. Bohnert is specializ ing on raising canteloupes, has the 'choicest ' varieties and la shipping them to Portland and other cities on the coast. 0 Mr. Toft Very III Joseph E. Toft of this city waa reported quite ill M the Sacred Heart hospital today. Fishing the Rogue Wm. F. Isaacs Is spending several days this week at his lodge on Rogue river, enjoying much fishing. Undergoes Operation Fred Powers, Jr., of Williams, Ore., was brought to the Sacred Heart hospital this morn ing and underwent a minor operation. He was reported getting along nicely this afternoon. Mrs. Jones Still III Mrs. Wanda Jones la still confined to the Sec red Heart hospital receiving treatment for a broken back, sustained some time ago. Her condition wss report ed slightly Improved today. Has Injured Arm Leonard W. Ma ther of the Trail district waa brought to the Sacred Heart hospital several days ago to receive treatment for arm Injuries received in the Curtis-Gardner quarry. 8 hong Goes Home Clair Shong, who was brought to the Community hospital some time ago for treatment of an infected hand, waa in a much Improved condition today. He was removed from the hospital to his home yesterday. Prohl Meet Word has been receiv ed from Miss Opal Rush of Ashland that the Young People's Prohibition force of Jackson county will meet Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock In the Medford Christian church. The ses sion will last for one hour, with music and short talks by the young people. Motoring In South Misses Billle Hammett and Elise Reld. who left Medford last week for California, are still enjoying a motor trip through the southern state. They are now in San Diego, where Miss Reld makes her home. The latter will accompany Miss Hammett on her return to Med ford. Photographers Meet The photog raphers of southern Oregon met at the Darling studio last night to dis cuss the proposed code. The code, as proposed by the International associa tion, was unanimously approved by the conference, and all were enthusi astic over the steps taken to elim inate unfair practices. Members of the union from Grants Pass, Med ford. Klamath Falls, Yreka. Weed and Ashland attended the meeting. Ash land Dally Tidings. Receives Clipping Mrs. Wm. Bates is in receipt of a clipping from her cousin, printed in the New York Herald-Argus, in which he describes a very pleasant visit to Oregon and California. One of the interesting features of the article was the quick time made by airplane from Chicago to Medford. He left Chicago at 10:30 p. m. and landed at the Medford air port at 3 p. m. the next day, being only 16 Va hours on the trip.
