He was taken to tho Institution the previous Monday, suffering from peritonitis. , An opera tion on Tuesday failed to arrest, ttie progress of the disease and he contin ued to sink until Sunday, when death relieved him of his sufferings. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Guy Jacobs, of Ashland, and two brothers, James E. Pelton of Fort Klamath, and Horace Pelton of Gold lllll. Funeral services were held In Roseburg.
