Wages paid during the last three months of 1944 will be reported to the Collectors of Internal Revenue during January. Mr. Welo said. During February and March these reports will be forwarded to the Baltimore offices of the Bureau of Old-Age and Survivors Insurance. There the wage amounts will be recorded in the social security ac count maintained for each individ ual worker. This will not be com pleted until the end of June. LOCAL RESIDENT PASSES AWAY Mrs. C. W. Belt (Mamie Viola Buck) passed away Monday morn ing at the Hermiston General hos pital following an illness of sever al months from an incurable di sease. Services were held Wednes day at Emmett. Ida., where the bo dy was shipped. Mr. Belt and fam ily, accompanied by Rev H. V. McGee of the local Baptist church, went to Emmett for the funeral. Mrs. Belt was born April 27, 1903, at Lenore, Okla., later com ing further west, being married at Canyon City. Colo., May 4, 1923. To this union were born six child ren. ore of whom, Russell Alvin, passed away a number of years ago. Those surviving, besides Mr. Belt, are Jimmie F., Courtney Ar thur, LaRue Charles, Larry and Louise. Also surviving are two sisters, her father, James A. Buck, a niece and a nephew. The family came to Hermiston about three years ago. Mr. Belt is employed at the Umatilla Ord nance Depot.
