Phone 111 Provide Food for Imprisoned Frogs A “Methuselah" frog has come to light. Two workmen tied to ropes, drilling Into the rock 200 feet down the face of a cliff at Henddol slate quarries, came across him. They had to shift a massive bowlder to get at his tiny house In the solid stone. Frogs—or toads—have been found in all manner of unlikely places— even In coal mines. How do they get there? On wliat do they live? Prof. Sir William Boyd Dawkins an swered the question when eight frogs were found In hard grldstone on Wer- neth Low. No frogs were In the world, lie said, when the stone Itself was being formed. Their ancestors then had not even dropped their tails. The real explanation was simple. Frogs crept Into the stone through some face fissure when they were very small. Files and Insects also obtained an entry is the same way, and on these the frogs lived. They grew fat, and could net get out again. No ether explanation ts possible. Frogs have been sealed up In plant pots, but they have alwnys died. QUALITY p ■ 5 I ■ ■ « ■ « ■ ■ ■ ■ I ■ A man In Paterson, N. J., suing for divorce, mentioned that one of the reasons for wanting to sever his mat rimonial bonds was that his wife ate with a knife and that her table eti quette was very bad. The Judge promptly Informed him that because his wife ate with her knife It was no cause for divorce. And the Judge was right. If such a thing was cause for divorce there would be thousands of shattered homes In this fair land. Of course It Is not proper to eat with a knife, especially green peas, as they roll off so easily, and again It Is distressing to see a person scooping up food with a knife and giving an Im Ration of a sand dredge at work at Rockaway, making a new boulevard. However, because a man marries an amateur sword swallower or vice versa, that Is not cause enough to break up their home.
