Ruby Colley spent the East er weekend with the Kenneth Heid family In Spray. Lee Wagonblast motored to , The Dalles on Sunday where she visited Carrie Wagon blast, taking her out to dinner, entertained the younger fam ily members. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stea gall motored to Wilbur, Wash ington, on Saturday where they spent Easter with a daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Greg Leyva. Bettv Christmnn and son were Jo Irvin, a daughter from Irrigon. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Smith and family, Mr. "and Mrs. Graham and infant son from Pendleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Bowen and twins was served. Mrs. McMillan and her brother, John Spence, also of the Good Samaritan Center, spent the evening at the Bowen home, being taken back later in the evening. Freida Majeske entertained her family with an Easter supper at her home in Heppner. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Gene Majeske, Ed Hunt, Pat Wright and Sandi, Mark Wright and Susan Johnson of Lexington, Mr and Mrs, Vilas Itopp and daughter of Depoe Bav, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mounts of Portland, Mr. nnd Mrs. Steven Mounts and children of Hoard man, and Mr. and Mrs. Burke O'Brien and children of Echo. Lovely cake jjf decorated with Dink rose buds Mrs. Orville Cutsfotrth en tertained the committee of Women's Activities at her home on Tuesday afternoon. Plans were further discussed for the Morrow County Rodeo Queen's coronation which was ' held Saturday eveing at the grange hall. Committees were appointed at this time, and clean up days for spring were planned. May 12 is the next meeting and the group intend to have a no-host luncheon at a cafe in Hermiston. and will take a member, Florence McMillan, .with them to lunch from the nursing home. The June meeting is a planned potluck dinner at the Cutsforth cabin in the moun tains, starting at 10:30 a.m. Hope that all the members of the ladies group can be present for these planned fun days. A picnic for the grange is in the planning also, the date to be announced later. It was announced that the Pomona Grange will meet in Clarnj on Saturday, April 25, and several Lexington mem bers are planning on attending this meeting. This is Clarno's first time entertaining the Pomona since the consolida tion of the counties. Those answering the roll call were: Virginia Peck, Joyce Buchanan, Marie Stea gall, Josie Peck, chairman; Jean Nelson, Venice Hendric kson, Delpha JonesCharlene Papineau, secretary; and the hostess, Barbara Cutsforth. Birthday cards were signed for Florence McMillan and Charlene Papineau, and cake, coffee, and punch were serv ed. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Chick and family were Lexington callers on Saturday and Mrs. Chick and her mother, Venice , Hendrickson, left on Sunday for Portland to take the Chick's son, Dale, there for a doctor's appointment. Mr. Chick and the other two children returned to their home in Pendleton later that day. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buch ianan were Portland and HUlsboro callers over the Easter holiday and visited relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Padberg were Portland visitors with her sons, Bill and Victor, and then went on to Lincoln City where they visited his son and enjoyed some coastal sight seeing. Mike Palmer was a visitor at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Palmer. Mr. and Mrs. John Edwards recently vistied his father, Lon Edwards, at the nursing home in Pendleton. Mr. Ed wards has not -been feeling well the last few weeks. Donna Cutsforth of Hood River and The Dalles visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Cutsforth, and friends in Lexington over the week end. Carl Smouse of Salem was visiting relatives and friends and spent the weekend with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smouse, of lone over the holidays. Several members of Holly Rebekah Lodge motored to Hermiston on Thursday and took Florence McMillan, a resident of Good Samaritan Center, to dinner at the Columbia Inn in McNary. Mrs. McMillan opened her gifts and following the fine luncheon the ladies enjoyed a ride up the river before returning to Hermiston. Those going for the day were Leila Palmer, Eula Bloodsworth, Catie Padberg, Ruth Robin son, Joyce Buchanan, Virginia Peck and Delpha Jones. Thursday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bowen, entertained with cake and coffee, honoring her grandmother, Florence McMillan, on her 82nd birth day. Attending from Lexing ton were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Jones and sons, Mike and Chris, and Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Jones.
