It t o o k tw o o r three d ays to g e t re a d y and m ake th e apple butter, too. W e had to pick up and grin d about twenty- bu shels 6 f sw eet apples fo r cid er. T h e cid er had t o be m ade the last th in g , th e day before the apple butter w as m ade, so it w ou ld be sw eet.
