Library board to discuss new budget The Siuslaw Public Library District board of directors will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, in the Bromley Room of the Siuslaw Public Library, 1460 Ninth St. in Florence, for a regular monthly meeting. Colorado Picnic returns in July The third semi-annual Colorado Picnic is being planned for Sunday, July 19, from noon to 6 p.m., at the Woahink Lake picnic meeting place on Canary Road. CYAN MAGENTA YELLOW BLACK On June 4, Florence resident Helen Cunningham (far right) turned 105 years old. Earlier this month, she enjoyed an early birthday celebration hosted by the Florence Elks Club and the area veterans. Helen has made more than 25 crocheted blankets and five quilts for community members and veterans in need.
