District board of directors will
meet at 1:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, June 17, in the
Bromley Room of the Siuslaw
Public Library, 1460 Ninth St.

monthly meeting. There will
be a public hearing on the pro-
posed 2015-16 budget.

On June 4, Florence resident Helen Cunningham (far right) turned 105 years old. Earlier this month, she
enjoyed an early birthday celebration hosted by the Florence Elks Club and the area veterans. Helen has made
more than 25 crocheted blankets and five quilts for community members and veterans in need.
