During the last two weeks in Dec ember over 0000 stamps were sold and his recent order for two cents stamps from the department leach ed the high number of 30,000 which was 5000 more than was ever be foie ordered at one time. All the remainder of his order was corres pondingly increase!1, s'lowing a large increase in the amount of business done. Judge Steams- this morning passed the sentence of death on two Chinese condemned-murderers, Chee Gong and Fongr Long Dick. The court sentenced the- men to be hanged on February 17th, 18S8, between the hours of 10'a. m. and 4 p. m. The deatlv warrants were issued this afternoon.. The case of Chung Ling, the third convicted. China man will not come up for several days as his is a seperate case and has been appealed. FURTHER PARTICULARS. Eugene. Jan. 9.
