Youth Crew Supervisor $13-15hour ' Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Approximately 16 weeks, starting June 4, 2007 Duties: Schedule program tasks and activities, purchase crew supplies and materials, organize campouts, and supervise two youth crew leaders and associated youth crews for up to ten weeks and assist the Fish and Wildlife Department with natural resource projects for approximately six weeks. Qualifications: Desire to work with youth and in natural re sources. Must be in good physical condition and be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Experience in the proper use of hand tools. Good organization and communication skills. Supervisory experience preferred. Requirements: Work boots, valid driver's license, safe driving record and successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug test. Closing date: Friday, May 11, 2007. Youth Crew Leader F&W Intern $10.50-$13.00hour. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Approximately 14 weeks, starting June 18, 2007 Duties: Supervise and provide leadership to an eight-person summer youth work crew for eight weeks and assist the Fish and Wildlife Department for six weeks. Projects may include stream and riparian restorationenhancement, trail and park maintenance and construction, native vegetation plantings, habitat enhancement monitoring, and other natural resource and community projects. Qualifications: Desire to work with youth andor in natural resources. Must be in good physical condition and be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Experience in the proper use of hand tools. Low (Betty) February 2, 1935 December 31, 2006 Our mot her and sister has gone to meet the rest of t he family. She was born in Corvallis to Floyd T. Low and Rose Mae (Jeffers) Tyler Low of Philomath. She was a proud Tribal Elder. She was proud of her Indian heritage and the outdoors and baking. She is survived by 7 children; sons Kenneth Nissen of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Patrick Nissen of Vancouver, Washington; Joe Nissen of Salem Oregon; Donald Nissen of Deer Lodge, Montana; daughters Karen Charlo of Philomath Oregon; Patti Minnerath of Saco, Mon tana; Liz Vickers of Seattle, Washington. She is also survived by Brothers Leonard (Lenny) Low of Albany Or. Floyd Low (Buddy) of Fruitland Washington; sisters Lottie Child of Sheridan Oregon; Eloise Kisor of Moses Lake, Washington; Alene Knowlton of Bentonville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her mom Rose Mae Low Tribal member, Her dad Floyd T. Low, Sis Irene of Wash, Albert T. Low, (Pat) Pitrova King and Collene Garcia. She also had 21 grand children and 18 great grandchildren. Nu merous nieces and nephews. Her funeral was held on January 9, 2007 at the Grand Ronde Tribal Cemetery. She will be greatly missed by all who really knew her. She will always be in the hearts of her children and family. Peter Theodore Roybal September 7, 1972 February 12, 2007 Tribal member, Peter Theodore Roybal, age 34, passed peace fully Monday, February 12, 2007 in Seattle. Peter was the great grandson of Wilson Bobb, Sr. and the grandson of Edna Bobb Raya. Peter is survived by his mother Linda L. Roybal: father, Joseph Gale Raya: grandmother, Beatrice Gonzales: grandfather, Joe Roybal: brothers, Michael Roybal, Joseph Raya Jr. and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
