W arm Springs, Oregon February 2 0 , 2013 Page 11 THE CONFEDERATED TRIBES LANGUAGE LESSON------------------------------- Camp Naimuma @ Peters Pasture July 17,18,19, 20, 21,2013 Time is going by very quick, soon its time for Culture Camp again, we plan on another great week for our valued re source of the Tribes oür Children, A t Camp they learned a variety of Cul ture and Tradition of the Tribes, and most impor tan t topics were Lan guages of our Tribes, and “ Cultural Values" . taught by our Elders. We are seeking volunteers, you must be 18 and over to be camp counselors, if your interested, please contact Merle Kirk for more information. If your interested in taking part in this years “ Camp Naimuma” we have a Plan ning Meeting sched uled for Friday, March 9, 2 0 1 3 beginning at 1 :30 p.m. to be held in the Basement of the Culture & Heritage Lan guage Depart ment. This years cam p is open to stu dents ages 8 years & up Every tw o weeks we will post updates on this page. Our Language Instructors work very hard to keep our langage going by offering classes to you as members of our three tribes, ichishkiin Language Classes Suzie Slockish has class every Monday and Wednesday evening from 5:30 - 9:00 pm in the Basement of the Culture & Heritage Lan guage Program, Also, one Sunday per month at Sunday services usually held at HeHe Longhouse. For more information on the Sunday service, contact Suzie. Arlita Rhoan has after school class Monday - Thursday 3:30 - 5:30 pm in the first floor training room of the Edu cation Building Friday 3:30 - 5:30 the students will have craft day. Arlita also has a Class at Madras Senior High School every Tuesday and Thurs day in the afternoons Kiksht Language Class Pam Cardenas has after school class Mon day - Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30 pm and Fridays from 3:30 - 5:30 will be Craft Day for the students in the First Floor Training Room of the Education Bldg. We had a 6 week series for each of these crafts, and and once completed, we will begin again for the parents that couldn’t make i t or possibly make some thing new.
