Pursuing acting career in L. A. D e m e tria Smith, a smiling and personable young lady, is very determined in her pur suit o f a career in acting. Last week, Demetria and her family moved to Los A n geles, so Demetria could be closer to acting opportunities. Just 15 years old, she has been building her acting port folio for the past few years. H er m anaging company, Global O ne Ltd., is based in Los Angeles, on Wilshire Bou levard. T he family m oved there to be closer to the cast ing calls. Dem etria’s m other Pam will also be working for the agency. Demetria is now 15. She became interested in acting at a very young age, “w hen I was 4 or 5, watching Disney shows,” she says. H er long-term goal is to be in a m ovie. “I th in k it would be fun to be in a scary movie,” Demetria says. The Global O ne agency is based in Los Angeles but has offices in South Korea, and in Texas. They have alliances with the Asian entertainment market. Demetria is the only N a tive American on the agency roster. The relationship has been great so far, and Pam has re ferred other young actors to the agency. H er new job with Global O ne will be working w ith the new youth actors coming in. The, move to Los Angeles w ill b e a b ig ch an g e fo r D em etria and the family, as th e y h av e liv ed in W arm Springs all their lives. “I am going to miss my friends and family I have here,” she said.
