CROSS COUNTRY Wednesday, August 31, 2016 5A COLUMBIA RIVER CONFERENCE T he Columbia River Conference was controlled by the two teams that sit along the Columbia River, but the Hermiston Bulldogs are coming into 2016 determined to take control. The Bulldogs bring back three of the top fi ve runners in the boys and girls categories, headed by Isaac Sanchez and Melany Solorio. Pendleton has its work cut out for itself after losing 19 seniors to graduation. The team is very young and it is too soon to determine our fi nish. The Pirates will use double stoppers at times.
