She also is encouraging more creativity in creating scoring chances. Herm- iston had just 13 goals in 2015. On defense: The Bulldogs return the CRC Goalkeeper of the Year along with three all-league defenders to give the unit a rock solid base, and Turner is looking for improved communication to take them to a new level in 2016. Hermiston allowed a league-low 22 goals last season. The Pioneers were third in the GOL with 44 goals in 2015. On defense: A lat-four defensive alignment for the back line requires more communication, but with the experience he has returning Martinez is conident it will lead to far fewer shots on goal. Mac-Hi allowed 30 last season, again third in the GOL. Martinez’s key to the season: “Try to stay focused and motivated.
