(HP)-Diver-gent trends developed in -grain pits Friday, wheat advancing " as much as a cent tm fairly aggres sive buying .while oate and rye declined fractionally in a sluggish trade. ,V : ' ' . Indications the C o mm odlty Credit corporation had purchased 2,500,000 bushels of wheat at Minneapolis in the -last fer dajrs, in increase ' in mill buying and strength at Winnipeg combined to give firm" undertone to the bread cereals Final prices were only slightly under th edya's highs. At the. close ' wheat was . -l cent higher, September.$1.45-, De cember $l,47-$1.46Ts, oat- were Va r lower, September 70 M , and rye was down Ya-, September $i.02y4-. Purchases of wheat by the CCC now total around 4,000,000 bush els, according to trade estimates, and the gency reportedly is en deavoring to get more grain at Minneapolis, Omaha and Kansas City. It Is understood that all of this wheat will be utilized to aug i merit the agency's feed wheat stocks. ' ' The Modern Miller, a trade pub lication, asserted the govern ment's . program of using wheat for feed "is meeting with unusual success and latest estimates sug gest that 300,000,000 bushels may be fed .. this year, or 50,000,000 bushels more than anticipated a short time ago." Inspection Fees For Shipping Now Increased ' Increased federal-state shipping point inspection fees were an nounced here Thursday by Direc tor E. L. The new inspection fee sched ule increase for dried fruit is 15 cents per ton, potatoes, one-fourth cent per 100 pounds, onions and onion sets, one-half cent per 100 pounds, and walnuts and filberts Wa cents per 100 pounds. There -also is a slight increase for truck lot inspections and for inspections requested at points more than 5 miles distant from shipping point offices.
