REIMS STARTLED BY LION Store Scared Even Than the Excited French Populace. PARIS. April JO. (Special.) The quiet old cathedral city of Reims was all In a fluster the other day when it was ru mored that a whole menagerie had broken loose In the streets. The only wild beast at large, however, was a particularly harmless lioness, which was filled with more alarm at her own freedom than with evil designs on the populace. When she found herself In the streets she was so bewildered that she bolted for somewhere to hide. In her career she- knocked down a small child, then upset an old woman, but was diverted from her course bv a courageous young man who cried "shoo!" at her, making her skee daddle down a side street. Here she met a butcher's cart, and, while she made a hearty meal of the con tents, the boy in charge fled In terror, spreading the report that the whole me nagerie was loose. Soon the bravest of the citizens were out after the lioness, armed to the teeth. Summer Normal Music School CONDUCTED BY Calvin B.
