New Resting Ground for Hendrix’s Remains The remains of rock icon Jimi Hendrix have been moved to a new granite and marble memorial to better accommodate crowds who travel from around the world to see his grave. His initial burial site (shown here) was marked only by a simple flat gravestone reading “Forever in Our Hearts - James M. Jimi Hendrix 1942 - 1970."
