The many facets o f Robinson’s career—which has now touched four dec ades—w ill be reviewed. Although it would be impossible to reflect indi vidually on each o f his many accomplishments, all music played that day on “ American Bandstand*’ w ill relate to Robinson, who w ill be on hand to perform “ Being With You.” “ Who Said” and "C ruisin’ .” His days with the Miracles will be remembered by “ Mickey’ s Monkey,” “ Going To A Go Go” and “ Shop Around,” which were only a few o f the group’s many hits. Long called one o f music’ s most influential figures, Robinson has also .had tremendous success as a songwriter. That aspect o f his illustrious career w ill be highlighted on the show by the songs “ More Love” (Kim Carnes), “ A in’t That Peculiar” (Marvin Gaye) and “ The Way You Do The Things You Do” (The Temptatons). Long a part o f the Motown Records family, Robinson’ s own fam ily— represented by nephews Keith and Darrell, who are also signed to the label - w ill also appear on the salute, performing “ You’ re My Gardener.” (present this coupon with visit) MRS.
