Tliln Mum mer, however, It seem that It will he more popular to boll It. To boll water properly you nhoull yet up early lu the morulug and make a hot fire. lie mire to have the lire hot, utherwlHc the wuter won't boll. While the lire Im heating If you haven't n galvanized Iron tub take your largt-Ht naueepan, pot or kettle, (in an emergency the coal Kcuttle will do) and gniHp It firmly by the collar. Then take a pound of chlor ide of lime, one Hcrubblng brimh and go to It. When Hcrubbed to u frazzle rliiMe'well with water. I'.y no means une water from the tap to rlime with, if you can't borrow Home of the boiled article from your neighbor it will be handy for you to secure n bucket and take a little jaunt out to the Tucker fpring. Having filled your bucket return home. Avoid coming around by the renervoir on the helglito a the water may become contaminated. If the (ire in out wbeo you get home make another. After riiiHlng the veHMcl you are going to boll the water in Bcrub ngalu with formaldehyde ami If you are not tture that It la bug proof uhc one quart of carbolic acid. Then place the vessel carefully under the tap and let the water trickle Into It Hlowly. Hy do ing thU mauy of the colon bacilli will hop over the edge of the vessel and make for the ewer. If you can nee u re a mlcroHcope It will be Inter esting fur you to watch the little fellows running for dear life to escape being boiled. You see, they are tired of being boiled, they'd rather be fried. After tilling vessel place on stove, screw the lid on tight and let boll until sundown. Then set In safe and throw on the combination. It will then be time to go to lied. Of course, If you can use tlie tub you cau boll more water, but be careful to set It where the baby can't fall Into It, for although boiled water is harmless It Is very wet. For those who desire an added Havor an old boot leg cut In pieces an inch square and dropped Into the glass wheii served will be relished. Those who care to take a little more trouble can have their water baked, frlcas-ed, stewed or scalloped, al though It Is not recommended In this form. One drink of boiled water Is guar anteed to produce a most beautiful tit of the blues In live miuutes and Its continued use for a week will trans form the most cheerful Into a h.vpo chondrlac.
