We had one student Willo Daugherty who is another Spider Savage. She taught the rest of the students how to ski. After a short lesson Robert Kentta and Tony Green decided that they were ready for the ski lift. They went to midpoint up the mountain and skied down. When I saw the stretcher going up the hill on the lift I just knew that one of my students was hurt. Thank goodness that it was only for the movie that they were filming higher up the mountain. I could just see the students in a cast at graduation. During the trip we also stopped by the State Capitol in Salem for the opening ceremony of Indian Week. We also went to view the Artistic Heritage of the Siletz at the Georgia-Pacific Historical Museum in Portland. Our compliments go to the Salem JOM Coordinator Doni White for the fine display. This was a goodbye trip for the seniors. I have enjoyed them tremendously.
