JO HNSO N O’M ALLEY NEW S B y :S h a r o n B u t le r S en iors C om er: Judith and Monica Mason: Parents, Howard and Madge Mason of Waldport. Judy has spent quiet years in high school, but has been active in summer sports. She is planning on going to college after a break from school. Monica has also been quiet through her high school years. She plans to go into the field of hair design. Both Mason girls are graduates from Waldport high school. Willo B. Daugherty: Parents are Bufford and Willa Daugherty of Beverly Beach. Willo is a graduate from Newport High. Her future plans are to do one of two things, go to college or go into Hair design. Rilatos. Parents, Robert and Maxine Rilatos of Siletz. Rollie has been active . throughout his school years with the cultural field of the Siletz Tribe. He has aquired a great knowledge for Tribal dancing, costume and beading. No plans for the immediate future. Robert Kentta: Son of JoAnn Miller, Logsden area. Robert is very cultural inclined. He is also track and basketball star. After graduation he plans to find a job. His future plans are to attend the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mark Pullam: Parents, William and Florine Pullam of Waldport. Mark was a four year letterman in football and wrestling. During his Jr. year he was one of three who was selected to attend a trip with the JOM program to Washington D.C., to sit in on the hearing in Congress about the Reservation Plan. This has made a great impact on his life. Mark's future plans are to attend O.C.E. in Monmouth Oregon, returning as a Psychologist to work with his Tribe. Barb Fisher: Parents are Robert and Barbara Fisher of Siletz. Quiet Barbie is a member of the Honor Society, Whos Who member, and vice president of the senoir class. She was homecoming princess her senior year, and is the number 1 editor for the Siletz Warrior. Her future plans are to attend Oregon State and major in journalism or Child Psycology. Kelley Simmons: Parents, Franklin and Nancy Simmons of Siletz. Kelley has’ been very active throughout her school years. Honor Society, student council, class president Honor Roll, student of the month, Volleyball, track, cheerleader and was in speech competition for two years. Kelley plans to attend Oregon State University to major in business. Fonda Case: Daughter of Elouise Case, Siletz. Fonda is an Honor Roll student with a GPA of 3.98 for 7 semesters (receiving only one B ) . She has scored 12th in the Nation on her S.A.T. test. Fonda has won a $300 scholarship from the Toledo Elks, along with a $100 scholarship from the District Elks. Her school activities are as follows; volleyball, track, basketball, cheerleading, athlete of month, student of the month, class representative, class pres., vice pres., and active in the Honor Society. Fonda is going to attend O.I.T. in Klamath Falls next term to major inaccounting and compu- tor programing. CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR FUTURE GENERATION: YOUR CAREER CHOICES ARE TO BE COMMENDED. SENIORS: I want to take a minute of your time to say that I hope all your dreams be come a reality. Your generation will be the new Tribe. I don't know what kind of af fect the Johnson O'Malley program has left, you with, but I hope that in some way we have contributed to your knowledge of education and culture awareness. Each and everyone of you have been an asset to the Johnson O'Malley Program. 7
