Your American Legion Chetc» Post #138 wishes to take this public means to thank their fellow businessmen and mem bers for their fine support and cooperation in their fund-rais ing efforts to build the American Legion Community Hall. Plans are already drawn and tentative building financing ob tained. The property is already purchased, being situated on the bay, overlooking the blue Paci fic. Plans are in progress for agame room, auditorium room, and a series of meeting suites for dinners and meetings. This Community Hall will be for use by the public, private parties and church groups. As is well known to the com munity the American Legion has in the past devoted its time to the welfare of its youth, having last year sent three boys to Boys State at Corvallis, for one week, during which time they learned and put into practice the administration of our system of government. Your American Legion Chet- co post #138 has actively p a rti cipated in Veterans program s, and has won two awards at the State Convention for cemetery clean-ups of veterans graves an» in the joint program of memori al services held at Azalea Park at which time the Rifle S q u a d LOYALTY CRUSADE SET Church Loyalty Crusade will be conducted by the Brookingt Presbyterian Church, beginning Sunday and continuing through November 17. The crusade is part of the fall attend - church program. Rev. Mr. Killin, the m inister, will preach Sunday at 11:00 a.m on the topic: "The Value in Try ing." Sunday school is at 9:45 a .m ., followed by worship ser vice. Junior church for dem ent ary school age children is heli during worship service hour i addition to the nursery for pr» school children.
