Your American Legion Chetc»
Post #138 wishes to take this
public means to thank their
fellow businessmen and mem
bers for their fine support and
cooperation in their fund-rais
ing efforts to build the American
Legion Community Hall.
Plans are already drawn and
tentative building financing ob
tained. The property is already
purchased, being situated on the
bay, overlooking the blue Paci
fic. Plans are in progress for
agame room, auditorium room,
and a series of meeting suites
for dinners and meetings.
This Community Hall will be
for use by the public, private
parties and church groups.
As is well known to the com
munity the American Legion has
in the past devoted its time to
the welfare of its youth, having
last year sent three boys to
Boys State at Corvallis, for one
week, during which time they
learned and put into practice
the administration of our system
of government.
