GET YOUR DOG VACINATED Dogs need vaccinations every two years. The Marion County Health department w ill provide clinics next week and w ill vaccinate dogs for $2.00 each. The clinic schedule is May 10-12 in Salem, Stayton, and Silverton; May 10-13 in Woodburn. For fur ther details, call the Marion County Health Department. SANDY REPORTS CAC MEETING Last week the VML Opportunity Center in Sandy was the scene of a meeting of the Community Action Council. Acocrding to Ken Killary, supervisor at Sandy, several groups are now learning to feel "at home" at the center, including the teen age and the adult clubs. In the issue of April 1, 1966, the Opportunity News printed several photos which one of the editors, Rick Simon, took in California of the Delano Grape Strike and its leader Cesar Chavez. The magazine St. Joseph, American's Catholic Family Magazine, has borrowed the photos for reprint in a coming issue. In the March 25 issue of this newspaper, the story of Mrs. Enid Breed ing, entitled, "Migrants do the Impossible," appeared. This story has been reprinted, with the permission of Mrs. Breeding and the Opportunity News, by the Laubach Literacy newspaper, News For You, issue of May 4. An article about the Russias at Woodburn, entitled "Characters From Tolstoy—Making a Start in Oregon," appeared in the A pril 8 issue of The National Observer. It was written by one o f its staff members, Mark R. Arnold, who came to this area to gather information. There are three smaller counties that do not have it, but they are applying fo r it.
