Last S u n d a y in the home of Guadalupe Alvarez, in Independ ence, a group of men decided it was time for them to organize. They wanted to get together be cause they have something in com mon, and because they wanted to help their fellow man and their community. The group is called the Spanish American Organization. They meet every Sunday at 1 p.m. in the In dependence Opportunity Center. They invite everyone to come to their meetings. The officers are President: Cle mente Reyna (who is also a repre sentative on the community action council), Vice President: Gilberto Zapata, Secretary: Jesus Zarate, Treasurer: Guadalupe Alvarez, and Sgt. of Arms: Manuel Rodreguez.
