TRIBAL PROGRAM NEWS Congratulations to Award Winners Siletz Tribal Head Start 2004-2005 Community Assessment As part of our performance standards, the Siletz Tribal Head Start Program is conducting a survey to identify the support resources in our communities. The Siletz Tribal Head Start Program serves preschool-age children in four com munities: Siletz in Lincoln County, Salem in Marion County, Springfield in Lane County, and Portland in Multnomah County. While we give a preference to serve Native American children and offer a Native American Head Start experience, children do not have to be Native American to attend our program. Our program offers a part-day/part-year service where children attend our classroom for 3° hours a day, four days a week, for 32 weeks. The assistance of your agency in completing this assessment and returning it to Siletz Tribal Head Start, P.O. Box 549, Siletz, OR, 97380-0549 will help us in collaborating with your agency to make sure our Head Start parents are The following individuals were rec ognized at the Siletz Tribal employee winter all-staff meeting in December.
