The tree, harvested from tribal land near Siletz, was secured by a Pacific Power crew on Nov. 17 for a “community decorating party” held on Nov. 18. The Siletz Tribal Council approved the tree donation in conjunction with Chinook Winds Casino & Convention Center as a contribution to community-wide Beach Lights 2000 activities. Chinook Winds also provided lights fof the tree and local businesses needing outdoor holiday lighting.
