Tribe Donates Tree
As part of the Lincoln City community
Christmas effort, nicknamed “Beach Lights
2000,” the Confederated Tribes of Siletz
Indians forestry crew delivered a 25*-foot
Douglas Fir tree to the Lincoln City
Chamber of Commerce office on Nov. 16.
The tree, harvested from tribal land near
Siletz, was secured by a Pacific Power crew
on Nov. 17 for a “community decorating
party” held on Nov. 18.
The Siletz Tribal Council approved the
tree donation in conjunction with Chinook
Winds Casino & Convention Center as a
contribution to community-wide Beach
Lights 2000 activities. Chinook Winds
also provided lights fof the tree and
local businesses needing outdoor
holiday lighting.

On Nov. 24, the tree was lit during the
Holiday Lighting Ceremony for Lincoln City.

“BIG 3” Drawing, Phase 3
Three chances to win $25,000 in cash! The first phase took place in October and
the second in November. The drawings on Dec. 16 and 17 will be the third and final
phase of the “BIG 3” Drawing.
On both Dec. 16 and 17, six names will be drawn, one every hour beginning at
noon, with the final contestant announced at 5 p.m. On Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m., the 12 lucky
finalists each will choose a key. One of the 12 keys will open a cash box containing
$25,000!
Remember, if you entered your name for the drawings in October and/or November,
you are eligible for the December drawing as well. Entry forms have been carried over
from the two previous drawings to the Dec. 16 and 17 (Phase 3) drawing and a third

New Year’s Eve Child Care: 10 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Can check children in for up to
seven hours. $5.95 for four hours and $1.95 for each extra hour.
Arcade: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.
New Year’s Day Child Care and Arcade: 10:30 a.m. to midnight. We will have
horns and hats; no drawings.
