Siletz News Employment Opportunities tote 8 Current CTSI Job Postings JOB OPENING Position Tide: Finance Manager Supervisor: General Manager Location: Siletz, Oregon Salary: $51,750 annually Ì Minimum Requirements: Certified Public Accountant with 5 years accounting experience in a public or governmental organization. Successful experience managing and supervising an accounting department in an organization of related size, scope, and program areas. Preference will be given to applicants with accounting experience in a Tribal setting. analysis, including the annual review of the Tribe's insurance coverage for adequacy. Periodically review insurance premiums and consult with the General Manager. Work with the Tribal Attorney in matters of litigation, negotiation, property issues, and funding source issues Meet regularly with other managers and directors to coordinate . activities and share information. As requested, attend appropriation and negotiation meetings and , provide a ^written report to the General Manager, Council, and Budget Committee, Assist in contracts and grant proposals. Perform other projects as requested by the General Manager, Tribal Council, or Budget Committee. - EVALUATION CRITERIA: The following criteria will be used to -identify the best qualified applicant: DUTIES: Budgeting: Planning, organizing, and directing the budgetary process. Works closely with the Administrative Manager to assemble annual budget. Compile and develop all necessary information needed for Tribes generalfund budget. Forecast Tribal general fund revenues annually for use in the budget process. Assist Budget Committee in preparation of necessary budget revisions during the year. Assist Budget Committee in administering compliance with the Budget Ordinance. Assist Budget Committee in monitoring finances of the Tribe. Develop long range goals for the Finance Department. Work with the General Manager and Budget Committee to develop long and short-term goals for the Tribe. Work with the Admimstrafive.Manager in preparation and negotiation of the Tribe's indire^cbStpioposal. Reporting: Develop and communicate a financial reporting system that is easily understood by Council, Budget Committee, and Program Managers; and that eleariyindicates the Tribe's financial position. Monitor the general ledger and review appropriate reconciliations monthly to assure accurate reporting. Prepare and present monthly financial reports-to the General Manager and Council. Monitor preparation of all required external reports. Review the FQHC annual cost report for Medicaid. Responsible for timely filing of all required financial,,reports. Coordinate the Tribe^s external audit. Oversee, develop, and direct preparation and issuance of the Tribe's Annual Report. Invéstments: Develop investment, poliçy, Maintain, investment portfolio documents and records. Monitor and tract investment activity and report status, gains; 'and Tosses monthly to General Manager and Council. Advise General Manger and Council regarding appropriate investment strategies. Develop and maintain a working relationship with the Tribe's investment broker. . Financing: Develop and maintain a workingrelationship with the Tribe's banker and loan officer. Secure additional financing as directed by the General Manager-anti Tribal Council. Periodically review the Tribe's financing portfolio, ahti recommend Changes as warranted.
