At that time they thought he was under the In fluence of some powerful drug, for he hardly acted like even a crazy person. He would not talk more than a few words at a time, and ull efforts to help hint get his bearings were unavailing. Yesterday he was turned out for a time and his movements watched. Concluding that the man was insiine. the officers again locked him up, and this morning he was examined by the county court, assisted by Dr. Bacon, and adjudged a lit subject for the asy lum.
