In 1909 this booklet will be printed on good iwper and well Illustrated with Ore fron scenery. Brides this It will con taih a write-up of the state's resources and each county will be given a special notice. The commission Is figuring on publishing 300.000 copies at a cost of 110.000. These will be distribute from the publicity bureau In the Ore gon building. t Oregon will make a collective ex moil nt the Seattle fair In 19(19. Tills will be the first time an exhibit of this kind has ever been made In the state. All exhibits will be InHtalled in the Oregon building, which Is now be ing erected In Seattle, and In th opinion of the commissioners, this I the best way to exhibit the resource of this stute. Evory portion of thi state will be represented, and It Is th. desire of th commissioners to co operate with those who wish to assist In bringing together a representntiv exhibit of the state's resources. In accordance with the request of the postal department, the council hn taken up the matter of renaming some of the streets in this city that they may comply with the requirements ot the rules governing free mail 'delivery. The council at its meeting last evening passed the following resolution, which will remedy these faults and will also eliminate several . superfluous street names which are much better named as they will be when the resolution becomes an ordinance, than under the present confusing system: La Grande, Ore., April 1, 108.
